| Renal Transplantation Service |
| This program provides outpatient evaluation and follow-up of pediatric candidates for renal transplantation. All children with end-stage renal disease are candidates for transplantation. The transplant team comprehensively evaluates all candidates up to the age of 21 and recommends appropriate diagnostic testing. UCLA is experienced with both living-related and cadaver organ donor transplants. Results of transplantation in children at UCLA are acknowledged in the literature as the best in the United States. Appointments are scheduled for Monday mornings at the Children's Health Center. |
