| Hemodialysis and Peritoneal Dialysis Service |
| This service evaluates and monitors, on an outpatient basis, children in need of and receiving all forms of dialysis. The pediatric home dialysis program is one of the largest in the country. Research on the use of recombinant human erythropoieten and growth hormone is ongoing. The Medical Center has facilities for acute hemodialysis 24 hours a day in an intensive care setting. Appointments for evaluations and consultations are scheduled for Thursday mornings at the Children's Health Center. |
