Research Interests
The goal of my research is to fully utilize the imaging capabilities of PET for clinical imaging, where the end result is images of high diagnostic quality, from which also quantitative information can be extracted. This work involves the development of novel methods for data acquisition and processing including optimization of scanner acquisition parameters, improvements in detection efficiency by incorporation of 3-D acquisition and reconstruction techniques, noise reducing processing methods and 3-D visualization techniques.
